Settled in 1683 and incorporated in 1788, Yorktown was named in commemoration of America's decisive Revolutionary War victory at Yorktown, Virginia. Yorktown is 40 square miles and is made up of five business hamlets of Mohegan Lake, Shrub Oak, Jefferson Valley, Crompond, and Yorktown Heights.
Close to the Taconic State Parkway, Route 129, 684 & a Short Drive to Metro North's Croton Harmon, Mt Kisco & Katonah Stations.
